Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Part 2

This is the second part of my overview/review of Chivalry: Medieval warfare, for those of you who haven't seen it, click this link to read part 1.

The Knight:

The Knight is my second favorite class to play as, and the strongest of the classes, he has the highest armor rating and the most damage output. Like the other classes, he has an array of weapons to choose from, the two handed sword, the battleaxe, and war hammer. The Knights secondary weapons are equivalent to the Man at Arms primaries (Refer to part 1). The Knight can also can choose from a medium protection kite shield, or full protection tower shield, or substitute the shields for a throwing hatchet.

The two handed sword is a very powerful weapon, capable of impaling, or decapitating multiple enemies at the same time. It is a long range weapon with very high damage but a rather slow attack speed. This weapon is extremely satisfying to use, but as it is a two handed weapon, you lose the ability to have a shield, which can be your downfall if you let a Man at Arms or an archer get too close with a dagger.

The battleaxe is the least effective weapon, in my opinion. it's very slow, has an average reach, but doesn't do much more damage than the sword. This is the most difficult weapon to use as a Knight, but it can be useful to eliminate other, unsuspecting Knights.

The war hammer is hands down the most overpowered weapon in the game, it is one handed, does the most damage out of everything, and has decent reach and attack speed. The most effective way to use this weapon is to use an overhead attack and crush your enemies skulls. This weapon easily gets around shields and can overwhelm even the cleverest of players.

The Vanguard:

Oh... However much I hate this class, I have to give it the respect it deserves. The Vanguard is the easiest class to play, and surprisingly the most overpowered. The Vanguard can be equipped with a spear, a two handed sword, or a halberd, along with a short sword or axe as a secondary. The Vanguard does not have an option to use a shield, but it makes up for it with his throwing knives, hatchets, and smoke bombs.

The two handed sword that the Vanguard uses is identical to the one of the Knights, far reach, high damage, slow speed.

The spear is a very effective weapon to use against Knights as it can easily puncture their armor and cause massive damage. It has two different thrusting attacks, one slower, but more powerful than the other, and a sweeping attack style, which isn't effective and should only be a last resort.

The halberd is almost a cross of the spear and sword, it is effective in all attack forms, whether it be sweeping, thrusting, or overhead slashing. It is incredibly easy to decapitate or impale multiple enemies with this weapon, and can often make you feel like a god. This weapon is incredibly fun to use and is the most versatile out of every weapon available to the Vanguard.

The smoke pot or smoke bomb, if you prefer to call it that, is mainly useful as a means of cover from enemy archers, or to mask an escape when on low health.
